To reach european customers and avoid the high taxes, steinway built a new factory in Hamburg, and also later in the year 1880 they built
the steinway haus.

Then in 1909 a steinway haus in berlin was made.

In The steinway haus there was concerts and culture meetings.
By now Steinway & Sons had built 4 major culture houses, in berlin, hamburg, london ,paris and New York.

 

By 1900th both factories produced over 3500 pianoes a year.
steinway also produced high expensive pianos for well-known and rich people, today these pianos are worth millions.
The nr 100 000th piano that Steinway produced was given tho the white house, in 1983 this was replaced by the 300 000th piano which still is
there today.
